Bahasa inggris memiliki banyak sekali jenis text sekitar 13 text yang kita pelajari, banyak nya text tersebut terkadang membuat kita bingung apa saja perbedaan dari teks-teks tersebut, seperti contohnya adalah teks narrative dan recount text.

Pembahasan Narrative Text Dan Recount Text
Narrative text merupakan bentuk teks dalam bahasa inggris, narrative text merupakan sebuah teks yang menjelaska kejadian di masa lampau atau masa lalu secara urut. Sedangkan, yang dimaksud dengan recount text merupakan sebuah teks dalam bahasa inggris yang juga menceriatakan kejadian di masalalu atau masa lampau secara jelas dan detail. Lalu, apa perbedaan dari narrative text dan recount text itu sendiri? Berikut ini penjelasan dari masing-masing nya.
Persamaan Recount Text Dan Narrative Text
1.Baik recount text atau narrative text sama sama text dalam bahasa inggris yang menceritakan kejadian atau peristiwa di masa lampau.
2.Kedua teks tersebut sama-sama menggunakan past tense atau tense yang berhubungan dengan masa lampau karena memang keduanya menceritakan kejadian atau peristiwa di masa lampau.
3.Tujuan dari narrative text dan juga recount text yaitu untuk menceritakan kembali kejadian atau peristiwa yang terjadi di masa lampau.
4.Struktur kedua teks tersebt hampir sama, yaitu diawali dengan orientation, pengenalan tokoh dan juga setting atau latar dari cerita.
5.Ciri kebahasaan dari kedua teks tersebut sama.
Perbedaan Narrative Text dan Recount Text
1.Narrative text terdiri dari (Orientation, complication dan resolution) sedangkan recount text terdiri dari (orientation, event, reorientation).
2.Narrative menghadirkan konflik dalam cerita, sedangkan recount text tidak menghadirkan konflik dan hanya mejelaskan urutan peristiwa yang terjadi secara detail
3.Narrative text memiliki bentuk waktu yang tidak pasti karena menggunakan kalimat “once upon a time” berbeda dengan recount text dimana waktu terjadinya suatu peristiwa pasti.

Vacation to The Beach
Orientation:
Last week, I and my friends went to the beach after school. We used public transportation. We reached the beach at 4 p.m. The beach was beautiful and clean.
Events:
At the beach, it was fun. We played football in the coast line. After that, we built a castle from sand. In the night, we made bonfire together. We roasted fishes and squites then we ate them. In the midnight, it was time to share our scary stories. One by one, we told our story.
Reorientation:

Contoh Narrative Text
Queen Of Arabia and Three Sheiks
Once upon a time there was a queen of Arabia named Maura. Maura is the most beautiful lady who had many suitors. Almost of it counts had discarded one by one, until just three sheiks reduced to the list. Those three were young and handsome. They were strong and also rich. The queen was hard to decide who would be the only one being the best.
One day in the night, Maura disguised herself and went to the sheiks’ camps near her castle. Maura had an idea to made a dinner for them, “Would you like something to eat, sheiks?” asked her. The first gave her some left in the table over food. And the second one gave her something strange, some unappetizing camel’s tail. The last one who named Hakim, offered the most tasty meat and tender.
After the lovely occasion, the queen left the camp.
Then in tomorrow, the queen invited those three sheiks to have a dinner at her castle. She ordered as same as the foods which is given to queen yesterday. The first sheiks who gave all over the food get the same menu. And he ate all the menu by himself. The second one who gave the unappetizing camel’s tail get the same and ate by himself. The third one , hakim, Get the same menu as he gave to the queen, but he didn’t want to eat it if all the people around him could not get too.
